Many people who call themselves Christian are not born again. You may be a follower of Christ but you are not part of his kingdom. In order to be born again, to worship God in spirit and truth, in order to go to heaven when you die, you must believe in Jesus as the son of God, repent of your sins, and give him your heart and life.
All three things are required. When you do that with your heart and mind, the Holy Spirit of God gives you a new spirit. You are made new by His Spirit, His DNA melds with your DNA to make you a child of God, clean and new.
You no longer lean toward sin but your new born spirit longs to please God. You are different. You are changed. If that has never happened to you before, please examine your heart and life and yield to the Holy Spirit, bow your head and heart and ask the King of Kings and Lord of Lords to forgive you and redeem you.
Give Him everything. You must be born again friends. There is no other way. A new heart. A new mind.
