Diving into God's Word can be intimidating. Where to start? You can start by looking up any Scripture you see in BibleHub.com to see different translations and cross references that will lead you into deeper study. Ask God for wisdom and revelation. No matter how you do it, you have to take that first step. Professing Jesus is Lord with your lips is not enough. Acknowledging a higher power is not enough. Even demons acknowledge Jesus is Lord! There will be many on That Day that will hear: "Depart from me, I do not know you."
Work out your eternal salvation with fear and trembling. Be sure you know your Savior and He knows you. Are you covered by the Blood or just going through the motions? Are we justifying our sin based on our finite rationale? Based on our fleshly lusts? There are rulers and principalities that want your soul. Without Christ, they will get it. You can't get through the spiritual, mental, and physical warfare that's here and coming without Him.
His Blood is what seals the deal. There is no way to the Father but by Christ. Do not fear what or who can harm this flesh. Fear the One who made this flesh and can kill both flesh and soul. Do not receive Christ because you fear the Lake of Fire; receive Christ because of what He did for us! While we are all sinners, He died for us to cover our sin debt. The price to pay for us to have free-will in this life. The only way to see Truth is by the only Truth. That Truth is Christ.
