I used to manage a lab. I did for 6 years. I say that because I want you to know that just because someone works somewhere doesn't mean they know everything about the testing process.
We aren't present when the reagents are being made. When the swabs are made. Etc.
So what I'm getting at is NO I do not trust the testing process and if they start swabbing shingles and telling people they got mon kee po,,-x, I wouldn't be surprised one bit.
The medical field has a sorted history and some of it was not too long ago. Find a doc you trust and doesn't get caught up in the hoopla.
