I know that so many people need to hear this, because I needed to hear it for so many years...

God is not angry at you.

When you gave your life to Christ you were washed, sanctified, and justified in His sight, and that is TOTALLY seperate from your performance.

Often times we project our own feelings towards ourselves onto God, when in reality, He is looking down on us with love and tenderness and deep concern for what we're going through.

Salvation is a legal action.

It's not a handshake agreement.

You are legally, in the courts of God, declared innocent of all charges when you accept Christ's work of Atonement on your behalf, and not only are you declared innocent, but He ADOPTS you as HIS CHILD.

This adoption is something that took place based on the performance of Christ in your place, and not on your own performance.

We are called to enter a REST from our labors, which salvation is. We are resting from our hostility with God. We are no longer at odds with Him, but we have been reconciled FULLY and our failures cannot change that.

I'm not talking about deliberate, intentional, negligent, defiant acts of sin. In talking about things that we struggle with after salvation. It could even be an addiction to something. I struggled with addiction for years and years after I was saved.

Everything that happens as a child of God has the exact same dynamic as you and one of your little toddlers.

Yes, they can offend you and get into trouble with you, but they don't get severed from the family when they do something wrong.

When they get old enough, if they so desire, they can emancipate THEMSELVES but only if it's a desire on their part to leave the family.

It's the same with us.

When we fail in certain areas, whether it be one time or a deep bondage to something, God is looking at us the same way.

Justified and a child of God.

He wants us to be free from these things, but this is only done in one way and it's not an easy thing to understand and it's not an easy thing to apply to your life.

In the process, though, He doesn't throw you away.

So many of you out there feel like God is angry at you and that you've failed too much to be accepted by Him... NONSENSE!

You are accepted because your sacrifice was accepted, which was Christ and your high priest didn't go into the holy of holies of the earthly tabernacle, but He ascended into the throne room of God and seated Himself at his right hand, making CONSTANT intercession for mercy and grace and forgiveness of sins, for those who are in Christ.

We are called to enter His rest and we have rest because we are accepted in Christ.

God doesn't see us, He sees Him.

He isn't looking at you, He's looking at the blood on the door post of your heart and He will pass over you, too.

"As a father is soft hearted toward his children, So the Lord is soft hearted toward those who fear Him. For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust." -Psalms 103:13‭-‬14
